Maylan Newton, senior instructor and long-time colleague, associate and friend of ESi’s founding instructor, the late Jim Hunt, is a more than 30-year veteran of the Automotive Industry. Maylan’s achievements as an ASE Master Certified Automotive Technician, Service Writer, Business Owner to his formal education, as well as his accomplishments as Consultant, Business Coach, and educator for the Independent Shop Owners & Team Members, both, in class and on-site, have earned him ownership of ESi’s reputation as being the #1 Authority in Professional Sales and Business Management.

As Maylan shares his experiences, winning formulas and philosophies for business prosperity, his unique sense in approaching workplace attitudes and procedures further contributes to his success as educator and consultant to the industry.

Working with the industry’s business associations, independent repair shops and Service Station community, Maylan conducts training year-round, addressing common problems faced in daily business practices while providing solutions designed to bring about positive change. His ability to stimulate and motivate his audience's focus towards the drive and direction needed to meet business goals and achieve personal and financial success offers an extraordinary experience.

Through his achievements as an Automotive Repair business Owner, Master Technician, and Operations Management Specialist, he brings to the industry positive results through skillful use of his experience and the education acquired over a more than 30 year span in the trade. As a recognized industry consultant, Ray provides business owners and employee’s management assistance through a unique program of personalized and phone support attention. He continues to influence growth in the workplace as he spends his time working with clients both, on-site, off-site and in the classroom environment. Ryan Tunison
Automotive Consultant & Director Operations
As a former ASE Certified Technician, Service Writer and currently, Automotive Business Owner, Ryan Tunison brings a unique and fresh perspective to the ESi Team and their clients. As a current shop owner Ryan understands the difficult demands every business owner is facing and has helped develop programs to combat today’s economic situations.

Ryan’s abilities as the Special Projects Coordinator, while working on such projects as the designed, and creation of the multiple ESi Customer Satisfaction Surveys have helped bring ESi a better understanding of what our customer want and need. And his unbridled approach to helping create new subject matter for future Educational seminars and projects has allowed not only Ryan to grow, but ESi as well.

Now that Ryan has experienced first hand some of the industries real issues outside his business, and through his commitment to better our industry, he is about to undertake the very difficult job of, Temporary Service Writing as the next step in his career towards his goal of consulting within the Automotive Industry.
