JJ and I were introduced to ESI at the Northern ASC trade show in 1994.  We were looking for proper automotive facility management .  We knew there were a set of guide lines that would help us make our employees and our company  succeed.  We found that in ESI.  It is great to be a part of a group of companies that are interested in success.  ESI's format for Courses gave us lots and lots of information and how to best use it in our company. Maylan, Jim, and Patty were there to assist us 7 days a week almost 20 hours a day, to make sure our first years were a success.  Now, we stay apart of ESI for the continuous updates and if we run into problems they are there to help.  Some of the areas of study that we learned about were personal development,  personnel development, BAR, advertising, profit not loss, and sales.

I was introduced to ESI in 1995, at a special seminar in Monterey.  Since  that time, ESI has become an integral part for both of my companies.  We have successfully implemented a self managed team in our North location, and within the next 24 months, will have the second location in a self managed position. This would not have been possible without the help, guidance and  expertise of ESI.  ESI has been our friend in business through the best of  times and also and more importantly, during the more difficult times. For a long time I thought ESI stood for Every Sort of Individual, then it became Ethical Support Inclusive. I have watched ESI for several years from the side lines. It became apparent that the shops and the folks involved with ESI are the winners of our industry. These are the very people I want to associate with, and learn from. But there are added benefits to joining ESI, we get Maylan Newton who is a drill instructor with a heart. He wants us to succeed in spite of ourselves. Having been in the position of ownership he can, and does hold our feet to the fire.  And when that fails there are those visits to the shop from either Maylan or Ray. Talk about motivation. Ray's experience in the industry will improve your inner-shop communications. And once Ray and Maylan have impressed upon you the importance and value to operating your shop like a business some more of the value of ESI becomes apparent. Not only are you provided with questions to ask about your operation, but also you are provided with support that can help you answer the questions and make the necessary changes. Customer Retention Services and Confidential Business Accounting are just two of the support organizations available through ESI to make your business soar with the eagles.
